Privacy & Terms

Short version: your photos and reports never leave your device.

Privacy

On-device processing. When you add a photo, your browser reads it, resizes it, reads the capture time and calculates its fingerprint on your device. The resized photo and your report are stored in your browser's storage (IndexedDB) on this device so a draft survives a reload. PDFs and .roomproof project files are created on your device and downloaded directly to you. None of this is sent to our servers.

Deleting your data. Choosing New report clears the photos stored for the previous report. Clearing this site's data in your browser settings deletes everything. Files you downloaded are yours to keep or delete.

Offline files. A service worker caches the site's own pages and scripts so Roomproof works offline. It never stores your photos.

Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and a few anonymous events, such as “a PDF was created” with the template name and a rough photo-count range. It's cookie-free, doesn't track you across sites, and never receives photos, file names or anything you type.

Terms

Roomproof is provided free and “as is”, without warranty. You're responsible for what you photograph and include in a report, for its accuracy, and for respecting other people's privacy (don't photograph people or their belongings without permission). Roomproof doesn't give legal advice and doesn't guarantee that any report will be accepted as evidence. You may use Roomproof and the reports you create for personal and commercial purposes.
